1. The developers of a Virginia offshore wind project are asking a federal judge to block a Trump administration order that halted construction of their project, along with four others, over national security concerns.

   Dominion Energy Virginia said in its lawsuit filed late Tuesday that the government’s order is “arbitrary and capricious” and unconstitutional. The Richmond-based company is developing Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind, a project it says is essential to meet dramatically growing energy needs driven by dozens of new data centers.

2. the Trump administration lost a major green energy lawsuit in **December 2025**, when a federal judge declared its executive action to halt wind energy development was unlawful. 

   Details of the Lawsuit

   * **The Ruling:** U.S. District Judge Patti Saris in the District of Massachusetts granted a summary judgment against the Trump administration, declaring that the January 20, 2025, executive memorandum and subsequent agency actions to stop wind energy development were unlawful.
   * **Reasoning:** The judge ruled the actions were “arbitrary and capricious” because the administration failed to provide a reasoned explanation for abruptly reversing a longstanding federal policy that supported wind energy.
   * **Plaintiffs:** The lawsuit was brought by a coalition of 18 state attorneys general (including from Washington, California, and New York) and various clean energy advocates and environmental groups.
   * **Impact:** The ruling vacates the “Wind Order” in its entirety and clears the way for continued wind development projects, including those that were paused, such as a major project by Dominion Energy. 

3. It’s not just projects under construction. The Republican Regime just removed the offshore leases of 5 wind farms. So even completed projects are not allowed to operate.

5. This admin is the most business unfriendly one I’ve seen in my lifetime. It’s disgusting how brazenly corrupt they are. And the Supreme Court is responsible for A LOT of this because they made the president above the law now. Once he’s out we should make a constitutional amendment clearly stating the president is NOT above the law and can be prosecuted for any and all crimes he commits while in office.
