So according to this guy we’re having a pandemic that everyone contributes to, including the vaccinated, albeit to a lesser degree.
I felt that this was an important piece of nuance for those of us who don’t casually read German news articles.
Constantly pointing the finger at unvaxed and shaming them probably isn’t going to get them running to get vaccinated
But it’s the unvaccinated that clog hospitals’ ICUs…
We live in a culture in which the stigmatization of people has to be avoided at all cost. That in itself is praiseworthy; however, it can lead to excesses in which clearly destructive tendencies cannot be named because we risk stigmatizing a group of people.
I’m not a politicians and have no problems with calling a spade a spade. Antivaxxers are very destructive. They are responsible for numerous death, an unprecedented economic crisis and social problems.
The current wave is clearly caused by the unvaccinated Mr. Drosten.
To believe in fake news and conspiracy theories is a choice. It’s not like being stigmatized because of your skin color.
I’m starting to just tune out infection numbers and death counts by now. While I heavily disagree with many decisions made, the shots are available and have been for a while.
If you’re not jabbed by now, too bad.Wanna die in an ICU with a plastic tube down your throat? Then hurry up and do it, free up capacity for someone we should actually spend medical ressources on!
For example people who can’t be vaccinated for one reason or another.Everybody else, please make way.
