  1. I dunno… Could Russia being colonialist dictatorship that never knew democracy whose people don’t know the concept of freedom and liberty have something to do with it?

  2. Why haven’t Americans risen up to stop rump?

  3. Pathetic, dishonest attempt to say, “Putin is doing a great job! All Russians are happy! Russia is the best!”

  4. People cannot easily rise up if their legs have been blown off

  5. If they just didnt engage in indiscriminate evil, it would be a lot easier to root for Russia, ya know?

  6. Well, every time Russians attempted, they got crushed. Figures like Alexi Navalny killed.

  7. Putinist garbage.

Let’s put it this way. If Putin has given Russians such pride in their hearts and meaning to their lives, and inspired in them such patriotic feeling about fighting “the West” (technically true I guess since Ukraine is to the west of Russia), then why do Russian frontline troops need to be handcuffed and forced into position?

And who has been helping Budanov spot all those drone strikes across Russia?

  8. It’s not a matter of WHY havn’t they liberated themselves, it’s a matter of, they don’t know they need liberating! (For lack of a better phrase!)
They’ve been indoctrinated for decades. No matter what anyone thinks they’re capable of from the comfort of their own home, they will never understand the complexity of another culture and the minute by minute life they have to live.
I certainly wouldn’t have the capacity to have an opinion about my government if I was freezing/starving to death!

  9. Because most Russians think Ukraine/US/EU/Nato started the war and Putin made the right call

  10. Those that seem to rise up go missing and somehow end up on the front

  11. Putin has some legitimacy because of how terrible the 90s were. Many in Russia credit Putin for ending 90s chaos. Within ethnic Russians Putin has tried to limit exposure as the military has heavily recruited from poorer non ethnic Russian groups. As long as the middle class cultural elites in St. Petersburg and Moscow are not feeling the impact then they wont rise up

  12. Important to remember that after the fall or communism Russia was basically a war zone of warring mafia families vying for power and control over state assets. Putin threatened them with annihilation and helped divide uo former state assets and brought a form of stability to the country. Now add in state control over the media and a recent history of either executing or arresting anyone who dares go against the existing power structure and a long term history of the Ruesian people being used to being subjects of the state and its not exactly a recipe for protest let alone rebellion. Also important to note that in the major cities most folks arent impacted by the war and most who have any sort of power have a relatively decent quality of life hence no real reason let alone desire to change the status quo.

  13. Same as anywhere else. Those that can, won’t because they are benefiting from things as they are.

  14. I see many Americans have risen to stop Trump from invading Venezuela

  15. BECAUSE REVOLUTIONS DON’T START ON A WHIM.

I’m sorry but this is just the truth, revolutions, revolts, protests, they don’t happen overnight, the Russian revolution took decades of backwards thinking, a new economic system and two lost wars and Russia’s prestige to cause it, the Soviet Union didn’t collapse because of a revolution, it was collapsing because decades of being Communist sucked it dry.

Revolutions don’t happen because, “oh I don’t like this government,” they start when they start, and you can’t predict when they will.

I mean, for fucks sake, Georgia has seen protestors for the last 400 days, and even that has only led to a half hearted revolution, once in that entire period.

Stop thinking its gonna happen, it’s not. Old people typically don’t bother with revolutions, and the young people of Russia have seen an increase in their pay over all when you consider all factors.

Russia won’t go into revolution, the only thing I can think is if the oligarchs decide to stop in and force Putin to stop. And when that happens, I don’t know.

  16. For the same reasons Americans aren’t standing up to fascism. Youll here people say oh we haven’t invaded anyone yet etc… but we have killed innocents on fishing boats, detained numerous people, even american citizens and sent them to 3rd world country prisons where no one knows how to contact them and wether they are still alive. Get real, people are comfortable and enjoy their comfy living, rising up in these circumstances opens you to being a target and no one wants to be the first one. Its the bystander effect on steroids. People will not rise up until a prominent figure decides to take the lead, and even that is a maybe, see prigozhin, Alexei navalny, etc. We are no different in the US and dont have a leg to stand on criticizing russians. We are on the same exact path. Anyone saying oh well we haven’t done x, y or z yet is just lying to themselves, we are full steam ahead toward x y or z.

  17. They don’t want to stop it. They invaded to take territory lost after the Cold War.
