  1. Trying to figure out if she’s making a partitionist jibe or whether she’s being ironic.

    I think she’s being ironic.

  2. At school in the UK I had a conversation with a girl who was like “yeh but what island?” And I said “Ireland” and she said no, but what island?”

    “The island is called Ireland”

“Mate they didn’t call an island island, thats stupid”

She was an Iraqi Refugee so she gets a bit of a pass

  3. What are you talking about Ireland is 100% real. They even did a documentary on it back in the 90’s. I think it was called Father Ted or something.

  4. I remember meeting teens while visiting a high school in Florida back in the 90s. A shocking amount of them thought Ireland was a fictional place like Atlantis.

  5. My Dad flew an Old rich Jewish woman in Florida one year and he told her he was Irish. Her response ” oh they let you people fly airplanes”

  6. There’s even a little bit of the actual show that’s real now . My local shop is now the shop from the show. They just kept the set dressings after filming. The shopkeeper isn’t a madman though.

  7. If this is true, then I, 74F Canadian, am 67% imaginary. Thank God my mostly imaginary parents are not alive to hear this.
