Iranian cleric sternly warns enemies of any threat against country

Ayatollah Sayyed Ahmad Khatami said, in his December 26 Friday sermon, that the slogan of strength has Qur’anic roots, where Muslims are told to become strong in political, economic, military, and other fields, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” Holy Qur’an also stresses readiness against enemies so that when they attack, the response should be immediate.”

He addressed the enemies of Iran if they try to harm the Islamic Republic, their day will turn into a dark night.”

The interim Friday prayer leader in Tehran said the enemy fears Islam and seeks regime change.

He reiterated that the only way forward is what the Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei has said: to have a strong Iran, which with God’s help will immobilize the enemies.

Still in another part of his sermon, the senior Shia cleric congratulated Christians on the birth of Jesus (PBUH) at the start of the New Year 2026, urging them to be the adornment of Christ, who was a center of compassion.

He called on Christians to advise rulers like Trump and tell them that their conduct is against Christ, as they support “Zionist child-killers” and the massacre of 70,000 in Gaza.

He added,” Christians worldwide should forbid evil and preserve the dignity of Christianity, as seen in mass marches against these crimes. He urged Christians to tell their rulers why they act against Christ’s way.”
