WANA (Dec 27) – Iran’s Supreme Leader stated: The main reason for the turmoil of corrupt and corrupting bullies is not the nuclear issue; rather, it is the raising of the flag of confronting the unjust order and the domination of the hegemonic system in the world, and Iran’s turn toward a just national and international Islamic system.

 

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader, stated these remarks in a message to the Fifty-Ninth Annual Meeting of the Union of Islamic Student Associations in Europe, and the full text of the message is as follows:

 

“In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

 

Dear youth!

 

This year, your country, by the blessing of faith, unity, and self-confidence, gained a new credibility and stature in the world. The heavy assault of the U.S. army and its disgraceful appendage in this region was defeated by the initiative, courage, and self-sacrifice of the youth of Islamic Iran.

 

It was proven that the Iranian nation, by drawing upon its own capabilities, under the shadow of faith and righteous action, and in confronting corrupt and oppressive arrogant powers, can stand firm and convey the call to Islamic values to the world with a louder voice than ever before.

 

The deep sorrow over the martyrdom of a number of scientists and commanders and a group of our dear people has not been able, and will not be able, to halt the determined Iranian youth. The families of those martyrs themselves are among the pioneers of this movement.

 

The issue is not the nuclear debate or matters such as that. The issue is confronting the unjust order and the domination of the hegemonic system in today’s world, and turning toward a just national and international Islamic system. This is the great claim whose banner Islamic Iran has raised, and which has agitated the corrupt and corrupting bullies.

 

You students, especially those outside the country, bear a share of this great responsibility. Entrust your hearts to God, identify your capabilities, and guide the associations toward this direction.

 

God is with you, and complete victory awaits you, God willing.”
