  1. ‘At least 50 more fines have been issued as a result of the police investigation into lockdown-breaking parties in Downing Street and Whitehall during coronavirus restrictions.’

  2. >In the latest update on its investigation, the Metropolitan Police said as of Thursday it has made more than 100 referrals for fixed penalty notices to the ACRO Criminal Records Office for breaches of COVID-19 regulations.

    So, fairly widespread then

  3. > However, Downing Street has made clear they would make it public if further fines are received by the prime minister, the chancellor or the cabinet secretary.

Ahh yes, the current Downing Street famous for its transparancy and truth telling…

  4. But Starmer had “dinner” on his work itinerary and drank a beer. As we all know politicians don’t actually need to eat, so that was clearly a party or something

  5. Presumably this would mean that 10 Downing Street has likely been the site of more lockdown fines than anywhere else in the country?

Over 100 now for the Conservative party – and less than 1 for Labour.

But yeah, they’re all the same

  6. Ah so this is why we have a Tory MP trying to deflect attention by saying outrageous shit about people on foodbanks

  7. With still no intent to resign from Johnson. He better hope Starmer does not follow through on his promise, otherwise any political opponent will have a major stick to beat Johnson with for years to come.

  8. £50, are you fucking serious?!, Fine should be 10000 times that for a posh Tory twat, that small a fine for someone so rich, what a pisstake, very much doubt he even realised he paid it

  9. Even though the Prime Minister didn’t receive a fine in this round, the large number of fines does rather suggest that he had lost all control of his own office.

  10. Hasn’t it already been reported that the Met haven’t sent questionnaires for any of the other events Johnson was at? So he probably isn’t even under investigation

  11. I hope there’s a FOI request made on how many of those 100 fines have been ‘paid’ and then clawed back as an ‘expense’.

  12. I really wish they’d stop calling it Partygate. Partygate is humorous. “We broke the law on multiple occasions, then lied repeatedly about breaking the law.”

  13. “never in the history of human conflict has so much karma come from a korma” ~ a desperate bellend in a suit with no self awareness.

  14. Blah blah blah, we have forgotten all that now, it’s all about Kiers Beers! The press have moved on, so the muggles will too!
