The European Commission has approved the reprogramming of the Alentejo 2030 Regional Programme, adding new priorities such as defence, water, affordable housing, and skills for decarbonisation.Â
This mid-term review aligns Europeans funds with emerging regional challenges, financed mainly by the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund Plus, and the Just Transition Fund.
The revised programme allocates €59.5 million to housing, €25 million to defense, €24 million to water, and €3.5 million to decarbonisation skills, while increasing investment in innovation, energy efficiency, mobility, education, health, social inclusion and culture, from a €1.104 billion total envelope.
