  1. How can they maintain those losses?

    What’s Ukraine’s losses in the same time

  2. There is an indigenous community close to me that wants to rebuild to 1000 member population after post colonial genocide and been working at it for 60yrs. Meanwhile Russia throws more than that to their death daily.

    Wild shit

  3. My simple calculations:
    I believe population isn’t a limiting factor on Russia.

    For example say a soft bound limit of ~15-20 million casualities (leaving 20–25 million fighting-age males).

    15 to 20 million men / 450 000 casualities a year = 33 to 44 years.

    In practice, Russia’s ability to keep fighting is much shorter because of:

    * Equipment and logistics strain
    * Economic costs
    * Public tolerance and political pressure
    * Training and replacement of soldiers

    But….

    Operational bounds should kick in before then (equipment, economy, training, public tolerance) are the real limits, probably (maybe?) 2–3 million cumulative casualties.

    Timeline at current attrition: 4–6 years before severe operational breakdown.

    I hope to God that we don’t have to continue fighting for that long.
