Very sad. Wasn’t aware 16 year olds are allowed drive.
Rest in peace
Rip. A single tractor crash. I don’t want to speak ill of the dead, but he was most likely on his phone. I see young lads driving tractors on their phones the whole time, it’s idiotic. They need to increase the legal machinery driving age to at least 18. I learned how to drive a tractor when I was 9. I wasn’t on the roads obviously but in hindsight it was still way too young to be operating machinery. Tractors were way less powerful then though.. The average tractor on the roads now is 150 horsepower and many of them do 50km/h. It’s just too much power for a young person to handle. More often than not, they are pulling tonnes behind them too. People driving on their phones is a different story. But this is the reality of what will happen if you don’t put your phone away.
I always feel very uneasy when I see very young teenage lads driving tractors on the roads. I worry for other drivers and I also worry for them, and it’s so awfully sad that this young lad has lost his life. I have never understood how they are allowed to drive these huge machines on public roads. God bless him, and may his family and loved ones be supported during this very difficult time.
