I am from Portugal, and Ian Cathro’s Portuguese is simply perfect. I know he spent many years as Nuno EspÃrito Santo’s assistant in Portugal, Spain, and England, but even so it’s incredible how flawless his Portuguese is and how he has almost no accent. Honestly, I have rarely come across anyone from the United Kingdom who mastered the Portuguese language as quickly as he did, especially to the point of having almost no accent… not even Spaniards manage that.
There’s a name I haven’t read in a while. Glad he managed to get back in to management after the Hearts move ruined all his early career momentum.
That’s class. Always great seeing any Scottish folks going abroad and making a good go of it
I remember him as the young up and coming coach at Utd.
Wasn’t much older than the players he was coaching but had something about him.
