  1. >More than two years on, in a period dominated by the coronavirus pandemic, most of the places that lagged behind London and the South East of England when Johnson came to power have seen little sign of better times. In fact, as a new Bloomberg News analysis shows, they’re more likely to be falling further behind.

London pulling ahead while others get left behind.

Who could have possibly seen this coming…

  2. That’s why you shouldn’t never vote for conservatives anywhere

Conservatism is the most stupid political ideology out there

  3. “Well none of us could have predicted a global pandemic, of course we could have done more but we were right to shift focus to saving lives”

    Aaaaaaand nothing sticks

  4. Of course things are going backwards. Johnson and his cabal of incompetents never actually do anything useful They talk alot and make grand statements, but never follow through, unless it is to enrichen themselves or their donors, then they put the work in.
For he rest of us? Nah, fuck all.

  5. Unfortunately this countries hatred for minorities is higher on voters lists, than to fix genuine problems of the country. People would rather kick this people than feel better about their own lives.

  6. We’re gonna supercharge our levelling up so that we can build back bigger and be better and get it done like the good old chaps we are.

    Scruffy. Little. Wanker.

  7. Such as, cancelling the Northern part of the major HS2 Rail project – something that was so predictable that many people demanded the project should be started in the North and finished when it reached London, but of course that didn’t happen leaving it as a cancellation option.

Meanwhile they’re still bashing on with Crossrail of course, but with increased homeworking and the fact that trains from Reading seem to have been taken off to re-create artificial scarcity, it just seems like a sunk-funds situation to me.

  8. Johnson lucked out with COVID and now the war in Ukraine, they give him some nice scapegoats to blame his broken promises on. It’s important to remember that Johnson has not failed, this was always his plan, saying it is failure makes it sounds like he just did not try hard enough.

  9. The only thing conservatives offer is fucking slogans, absolutely nothing else. They can’t complete a plan on time or with any effect, other than negative, on the entire union. Fuck them all and fuck you if you have voted for them

  10. All they’re gonna do is keep holding out on actually doing anything for the north and then they’ll eventually be voted out and levelling up will never happen.

  11. The Forest was shrinking , but the trees kept voting for the axe, for the axe was clever and convinced the trees that because his handle was madeof wood, he was one of them.

  12. Well DUH. The *Tories* said they were going to fix *inequalities* – if you couldn’t tell that was an obvious lie you need to get your head checked.

  13. You mean to say that creating a slogan wasn’t enough to make a meaningful difference to peoples lives?

  14. No shit its going backwards. Its a tory led thing. Theyd be unelectable if they werent shit cunts who need to screw the working class as hard as they can and keep racial prejudice a thing so we dont unite and riot against them for freezing and starving us all to death while they tell maureen age 87 to go on the bus all day if she wants to be warm this autumn and Christmas

  15. Elect a known inveterate liar, and general shitstain on society, to the highest position in the land … country goes to shit.

Who could have possibly foreseen this turn of events?
