New Zealand – Air New Zealand has appointed Jared Honore as General Manager Pilots, marking a leadership transition within the airline’s flight operations as it moves from recovery toward network and operational growth.
Honore has assumed the role following the completion of a formal handover, returning to an operations-focused leadership position after serving in Group Shared Services.
Statement
“As of last week, I’m out of handover and fully into my new role as General Manager Pilots at Air New Zealand. I’m genuinely grateful for my time leading in Group Shared Services, a quietly (but not always!) brilliant team of people who care deeply about what they do. Pleased also to have handed that baton to Nick, whose leadership and capability will serve the team extremely well. For me, it’s back to Operations. Thank you to the pilots and union representatives for the welcome and the direct, open conversations so far, that honesty matters and sets the tone for what we can achieve together. Thank you also to the Pilot Leadership Team for their welcome, and to Christine for such a thorough handover. Christine, you led through some of the most turbulent years in our airline’s 85-year history, thank you for everything you gave and achieved, enjoy a well deserved break. Safety and operational integrity will always come first. With that foundation, being back in the operational arena as we grow beyond the headwinds of recent years is energising… here’s to more frequencies, new routes, and real momentum ahead.” stared Jared Honore.
