As it is Sunday and some of the police officers wear riot gear: Either soccer or a protest.
I don’t know that it’s specifically that specific establishment; but the police likely won’t say anything about it until the operation is over. I don’t see any ambulances, so it’s probably not something where we would expect injuries. It could be some sort of raid, or it could be that some very high-ranking official — like a foreign head of state — is about to pass through in a motorcade.

Raid?
Firstly. That’s not just VW! The building Also houses ING and some other big names.
Also A lot of times, cops park away from hot zones like Brandenburger gate / Alexander Platz awaiting/on cal in case trouble breaks. And this is an in between point
Have seen it enough times to know that it’s not an office raid but specifically to ward off or in relationship to an upcoming March etc
There’s a year-end clearing sale on Bugattis and the cops just got the payout for the overtime they racked up this year. It’s just a bit of shopping.
I was walking by when this happend. I don‘t know the details, but the cops were fully armed at the entrance of the StaBi (public library). It looked like they cleared the library (many people were coming out of it, noone was allowed to go inside). When I walked by again one hour later everything looked fine, police was gone and building was still standing (really glad about this as the public library is in a gorgeous building)
If it was VW, I’d know, and I don’t know, so with high probability nothing VW related.
I am of course displeased seeing no police VW Transporters in this photo.

Dieselgate 2.0?
Nothing in the news yet as far as I can tell.

According to the website of the [Police](https://www.berlin.de/polizei/service/versammlungsbehoerde/versammlungen-aufzuege/) there’s a flashmob scheduled for today between 14:00-16:00
