It saddens me that I had to hear for the first time this lovely and funny bulgarian song from some american hipster (I’m joking mate, both you and your friend are awesome!). And gives me joy at the same time, knowing that our music is appreciated abroad. I think it’s a modern song and doesn’t exactly classifies as a folklore. Nonetheless, it’s bulgarian culture!
People bitching about “appropriation” should ask themselves about it, next time they listen “bulgarian” hip hop or rock music…
