Royal family should feel ‘ashamed’ over Andrew’s links to Jeffrey Epstein
Royal family should feel ashamed, a US congressman has said while calling on the monarchy to take responsibility for the harm linked to Jeffrey Epstein.
California lawmaker Ro Khanna said the Royal family cannot simply distance itself from the scandal because of Epstein’s past links to “disgraced” Andrew.
He said that the victims deserve more than words of sympathy, adding that the royals should take prompt and serious action.
His comments comes amid renewed scrutiny on Andrew’s ties to Epstein, making King Charles remove Andrew’s titles and royal roles.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he penned, “The Royal family should personally compensate Epstein’s victims. Who agrees?”
He also posted a link to a report from The i Paper, saying the royal family “should be ashamed and horrified” by its links to Epstein.
“Buckingham Palace is reeling from the latest disclosures from the so-called Epstein files – including a photo showing the former prince lying across the laps of women at Sandringham, and an apparent request to Ghislaine Maxwell to find ‘new inappropriate friends,'” the article read.
In another statement, Khanna said, “The Royal Family should be ashamed and horrified. They should be compensating each of the working class girls who were victims of the Epstein class.”
