Wife just got an email through from Tesco advising her that some chicken we regularly buy for lunch / sandwiches has been recalled following a potential salmonella outbreak at their supplier.
Great news to get after you’ve already consumed three packets of the stuff!!
Turns out it’s quite a widespread thing affecting several supermarkets and food outlets.
Zoonotic spillover is going to get worse. Covid has killed a few million people, the next pandemic might kill a hundred million.
Go vegan.
Well that’s fowl..
So are they telling us that Aldi and M&S get their chicken wraps from the same factory?
Given how similar the photo looks to the Tesco Ceasar Chicken wrap I had for lunch today, added to the fact I give Charlie Brooker a run for his money when it comes to emetophobia (fear of vomiting), scrolling down that list was a white-knuckle ride up there with a dog fight in a Eurofighter. Actually covered in a cold sweat now.
Not on the list thank fuck!
Yet another advantage of going vegan is that in the last 5 years I think I’ve been able to disregard 95% of the food safety recalls I’ve seen.
The chlorine washed chicken thing also passed me by.
