Reform using ‘Made in Britain’ logo… without permission from ‘Made in Britain’

  1. Reform UK has been using a “Made in Britain” logo on a range of football club-style promotional T-shirts without permission from either of the two UK “Made in Britain” trademark schemes, *The i Paper* has found.

The shirts sold by Nigel Farage’s party range in price from £39 to £359, with funds going to Reform UK. Three styles have been released as promotional merchandise – including a recently launched black and gold shirt signed by Farage himself – and are prominently stamped with the official-looking logo.

The “Made in Britain” stamp also features on the sales tag attached to the shirts and the Reform UK website where they are sold. But its use has not been authorised by the group behind the official Made in Britain trademark – which serves as a symbol of authenticity and quality assurance – or a second official Made in Britain trade group.

*The i Paper* understands that Reform did not contact not-for-profit trade association [MadeinBritain.org](http://madeinbritain.org/) – which holds the official trademark but does not allows its use for political merchandise.

It did begin an accreditation process with a second group, [MadeinBritain.co](http://madeinbritain.co/), which is also founded and run by British tradesmen. But Reform stopped replying to [MadeinBritain.co](http://madeinbritain.co/) when it was asked to provide evidence that the clothing was made in the UK, the organisation claimed.

“To have this logo copied and used by a political party for political gain and fundraising is a disgrace,” a spokesperson for the group said.

    # Strikingly similar

The logo the party has adopted includes a section of the Union Flag and the words “Made in Britain” in bold capital letters.

It is strikingly similar to the logos connected to [MadeinBritain.co](http://madeinbritain.co/) and the registered trademark that belongs to [MadeinBrtain.org](http://madeinbrtain.org/), which were both set up with the aim of protecting British manufacturing.

  2. Trump has set the tone for utter corruption being ok. Garage is just a copy cat. Unfortunately a lot of brain dead voters seem to also think it’s the way we need to go.

You can’t get through to them. You just need to vote against their match at every turn.

  3. More financial irregularity from the elite privately educated stock broker millionaire “man of the people”.

  4. So if your product is made in Britain you can’t just claim it’s made in Britain? That’s news to me.

  5. Honestly anyone buying one of these shirts is just a fucking idiot, I would seriously laugh my ass of at anyone wearing one of these abominations and openly supporting such a hateful ~~party~~ company.

  6. Wow this is terrible. Way worse than Starmer fighting tooth and nail to get a terrorist into the country.

  7. Uncle Knobhead heard the term “Football Politics” and thought it sounded like a great idea.
