As Ukrainian person which ~~has~~ had really tough times in my life for years, I experienced that even year long lasting “friends” disappear when you are in mortal grief.
Poland hasn’t turned away from Ukraine when it was needed the most.
It really does mean a lot.
Thank you, Poland, from all my heart.
I really hope things these 2 presidents on the photo say are actual real or will became real.
Peace to your home, from Dnipro.
Man, do people look good in *Zelensky green*.
Duda has only one facial expression
Growing up I was under the impression that Pol-Ukr relations were more tense than either with Russia, to whatever extent it was true Putin really reversed that trajectory.
Can other Poles hug Zelenski too or is it just Duda? I’m, uh, asking for a friend.
Duda kinda looks like Putin
All Ukrainian people migrate in Poland. Best for Russia:)
I love Poland, that’s the real brother nation to Ukraine. Not Russia
A friend in need is a friend indeed.
Nice, but unfortunately I won’t be voting for him next election
Oh fuck dudu has other feelings then stupid smiling😯
Duda might be a simple man but looks like he got feelings.
Dudu got the hugu
Duda is a good man.
get a room
As a Pole, this warms my heart too.
Fuck I really really hope this war ends soon and we all can focus on rebuilding new and better, independent and democratic Ukraine.
You guys stay strong in there!
There is a lot of cynicism and opportunism in the world. Moreover, the shallow and historically ignorant tend to fetishize past wrongs (as if their own people had never wronged another), and to substitute obsessing over that to distract themselves from issues nearer to home and the present day.
And yet. I hope that if nothing else comes out of this, that Poland and Ukraine will enter the future as truly fraternal nations, who have put past disputes behind them.
When a friend ask for help, you help them.
Correllrary, when a friend needs a hug you hug them.
Isn’t this the “zero” guy?
A meaningless puppet piggybacking on real Poles’ efforts.
Well I absolutely don’t support Duda politics, but it’s good he’s showing a real care for Ukraine and Zelensky. Kinda wholesome photo too.
My mom suggest funding Ukraine’s troops by allowing people to pay for shaking Zelensky’s hand. But it has to be under 100$ one so she can afford it.
Polska kurwa want Galicia and Volyn.
Fuck Russia, all my homies love Poland 🇺🇦🤝🏻🇵🇱
Would be nice if it lasted, but I still have significant concerns. Last I checked, and that was a couple of years ago, there was a very outspoken anti-Polish sentiment in about a third of Ukraine, most importantly in Lviv, to the point where I was harassed for speaking Polish with other Poles in a restaurant. At the same time, there is significant anti-Ukrainian sentiment in Poland (oddly enough, I was also harassed here by some uniformed moron for speaking surzhik to my Ukrainian friend in a bar). There are still crimes commited by these nations against one another which have never been officially apologized for and which are still being whitewashed in both countries’ historical policies, like the Wołyń Massacre of ’43 and Polish colonization of Eastern Galicia in the 30s. Overall, there is much to be done for a Polish-Ukrainian equal friendship to become reality, and it has to be done correctly with political will from both sides. I doubt either the Polish or the Ukrainian establishment sees one another as an equal.
