Canada vs Denmark picks and predictions

My best bet: Under 9.5 (-115 at Bet99)

Denmark played its first two games against high-quality opponents, Czechia and Finland. They were predictably blown out in each contest, but each featured nine goals or fewer.

Canada possesses more high-end talent than either of those countries, but they haven’t shown it thus far. In fact, they sit three goals behind Czechia and five back of Finland through two games.

Despite being favored by 2.5 goals and 5.5 goals against Czechia and Latvia, respectively, Canada’s goal differential sits at just +3, and they needed extra time to put away the Latvians. They haven’t dominated as one might expect.

While that should change against Denmark, there’s still reason to believe this number is a bit too high.

Denmark has played Canada six times in World Junior history, and they’ve only mustered up four goals. Scoring should be a huge challenge for them.

If the Danes were to find the net once, which would actually boost their per-game average against Canada all-time, Canada would need to pot nine or more to push this Over the total. That’s a lot to bank on, even against perhaps the worst team in their group.

Canada blew Denmark out of the rink in a pre-tournament matchup, but the red and white have scored eight regulation goals through two games, one of which was an empty-netter.

Canada should win decisively, but not sure we’ll see double digits.
