I prefer to think of this welcome as how Poland as a country is welcomed to Ukraine, and not so much about the man and his or the governments politics.

As a Ukrainian, I’d like to suggest a better title: “How the Ukrainian Parliament on behalf of Ukraine and Ukrainians greets Andrzej Duda, as a representative of Poland and Poles”.
Personally, I’ll be eternally grateful to all Polish people and I’m glad that members of my parliament can say “Dziękujemy, Polsko!” to Andrzej Duda, who represents the Poles and Poland. Forgive me if I said something wrong – I can understand that you may have a vast amount of questions to your president (as we have to our president).

Am a bit confused.
On one hand I am very happy to finally see this man be a president to be proud of, who represents us in foreign countries with dignity (somewhat), especially in these hard and terrifying times.
On the other after 7 years of being the government’s lap dog, who dehumanizes a huge portion of our nation and endangers us by making a lot of elder people go to vote during COVID I still think he’s a moron.
It’s like being jealous and angry with someone and than they do something objectively good.
Either way, one thing I am very proud of and happy is the friendship between our two nations
