I felt this post was worth sharing.
Luxembourg tops the ranking for coffee consumption.
Then I realised the statistics are exaggerated by the volume of coffee sold throughout the many petrol station shops at the border, and the consumption by frontaliers. Still, let me share as I love coffee and can't make my day without it.

Yeah, it’s totally misleading
Do they count the shitty coffee from the offices? 🤣
I am proud to say that I am helping to lift that record for Luxembourg. I am doing it for the country!
Interesting. The best coffee I ever had was in the Peru.
Something something per capita, something something cross border workers.
I really wonder if there are such a statistics about energy drinks?
And if you take that stat at face value you’ll also be interested to learn that the average person in Wasserbillig consumes 25.6 cups per day…
And that’s always the easiest way to tell that a statistic wrongly conflates sale with consumption.
That is surprising since our coffee culture is close to none-existant and most places serve absolute slob xD

Me reading this chart
Staring lovingly and longingly at my Nespresso machine, glancing at the clock to start the countdown til morning
Also what is this notion that Balkan countries drink 1.5 coffees a day?? They live off coffee and cigarettes
How’s Italy so low ? And Spain ?
