On Monday evening, December 29, 2025, protests by bazaar merchants and citizens, angered by the oppression and plunder of the clerical regime, spread to various parts of Tehran and several other cities.

In Tehran, at 5:30 PM, a large group of people marched toward Toopkhaneh Square. On Ferdowsi Street, the crowd chanted, “This year is the year of blood, Seyyed Ali (Khamenei) will be overthrown.” On Jomhouri Street, regime security forces on motorcycles attacked people with tear gas, while in Sepahsalar, they resorted to indiscriminate shooting and firing into the air. At the intersection of Taleghani and Valiasr, and in the Yaftabad and Mobl bazaars, demonstrations took place with participants chanting resounding slogans.

In Mashhad, at 2:30 PM, people demonstrated in Saadi and Shohada Squares. Anti-riot forces attacked the demonstrators with batons. Brave, defiant youths confronted the security forces, defending themselves by throwing stones and other available objects.

In the cities of Kermanshah, Karaj, Hamedan, Malard, and Dargahan in Qeshm, bazaar merchants held strikes and demonstrations. Slogans such as “This year is the year of blood, Seyyed Ali will be overthrown” and “This nation will not be a nation until the mullahs are in their shrouds” echoed through these cities. In some of these gatherings, youths distributed leaflets bearing the slogans, “Death to the oppressor, be it the Shah or the Leader,” and “Neither the crown nor the turban, the mullahs are done.”
