Bit weird to phrase it like this when Ukraine hasn’t so much as gotten started on the acquis (rather than referring explicitly to granting candidate status, for example), but it’s nice to see some optimisim on this.
I’m not familiar with that site but it’s been a fairly united stance of our parties on Ukraine membership since the war started.
We’ve only had 2 MEPs stand out against Ukraines membership which has caused a backlash here to such an extent they likely won’t get re-election.
As Irish person, seeing how we are doing fuck all (yes we have taken a lot of refugees but nowhere as much as let’s say Poland) to help as we don’t have a military
It is good to see some sort of help being offered albeit very indirectly
Are we sure, are we absolutely SURE we want to admit a country that is as corrupt as countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, and is not the most corrupt country in Europe only because Russia is also part of Europe? It is the same mafia state as Russia is, run by oligarchs. Just think of how much strain Eastern members put on EU due to their corruption (Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, etc), and imagine a country of 44 million that is orders of magnitude worse than they are.
Just because there is an unjustifiable war going on let’s not pretend otherwise, please.

Mama Mia, thank you Italia!
Edit: Shit, I misread. Thank you, Ireland!
