Pro tip: You can go into the terminal with the shorter wait time and walk to the terminal you need to be in. Dublin airport isn’t very big.
I missed my flight on Sunday due to the gigantic queue at T2, an hour and 30 minutes long. I spent my time in the queue being salty and watching the queue time tick down on their screen, wondering why this isn’t available online??? I managed to find the data on Dublin Airport’s website and made it a little bit more accessible.
One mobile the T1 & T2 cards should display simultaneously above the fold.
You should crosspost to /r/DevelEire and elaborate how you built it!
It’s quite simple but simple projects are often the most interesting and may encourage younger Devs in coming up with ideas.
Over what time period is the median number calculated?
E.g if it’s over the last couple of hours then you have a very good indication of the wait time. But if it’s over the last 24 hours then it’s not as helpful because it smooths out the quiet and busy periods.
You should definitely plot this over time.
How is their info calculated? You’d wonder if it’s a random guessed number displayed to make people in the queue feel better about the wait, which is queue psychology 101.
Very kind of you to create this for everyone mate. Top job!
