Wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has secured a 43-megawatt (MW) turbine order in South Korea.

The order is from Daemyoung Energy and is for seven V162-6.2 MW turbines.

The agreement also includes a 20-year AOM5000 service agreement, which is the most comprehensive of Vestas’ service agreements.

Delivery of the turbines is scheduled for 2027, while commissioning is planned for 2028.

On the penultimate day of the year, wind turbine manufacturer Vestas is busy announcing orders.

The latest in the series is an Italian order for 102MW, placed by energy developer Edison.

Earlier on Tuesday, Vestas also announced contracts in Italy, Spain, and Portugal.

The new order in South Korea comes after the Danish wind turbine manufacturer announced its first offshore project in South Korea on Monday, a 390 MW offshore wind project in Jeollanam Province.

For Vestas, the order includes 26 V236-15.0 MW offshore turbines. The agreement includes a 20-year service agreement.
