Afghan man, 20, is arrested after ‘attacking five people with a crowbar’ in hospital waiting room ‘when he was refused an appointment’

1. An Afghan national has been arrested after allegedly attacking five people with a crowbar in a hospital waiting room while demanding an appointment. 

   Merseyside Police scrambled to Newton Community Hospital in Newton-Le-Willows, Merseyside, this afternoon.

   A man, who it is understood is originally from Afghanistan, has been arrested on suspicion of five counts of wounding with intent, affray and criminal damage. 

   He has been taken to a local police station and remains in custody.

   Police remain at the scene and members of the public have been advised to avoid the area.

15. Why is there always someone who has to play the “what about-ism” card whenever people comment on these stories? They feel that they have to tangentially defend a foreign national committing a crime by pointing out we have home-grown criminals too.

    Like, no shit – nobody’s disputing that fact – but how are we supposed to crack down on home grown criminals when we are literally inheriting more by the boat load.

    Our prisons are at capacity already with enough British paedophiles, rapists, murders and violent offenders without inducting more foreign talent into the mix.
