I started regularly drawing and painting again which I’ve not done for about sixteen years.
How about you, what’re you celebrating?
Read 33 books this year which is up from my total of 20 in 2024.
Also think I’m ending the year on 214 films which is up from 140 last year
£22 in tips when my usual is between £5-£10. Small wins when you’re working 6 days a week for less money than you used to work in 4.Â
Been a really positive year for running. Did my first marathon in October! Also toppled a few long standing PB’s.
Small win, but I managed to replace the bulb in the Big Light in the living room without damaging anything. I seldom use the Big Light, so the bulb doesn’t often need replacing, but on the previous occasion when this was necessary, the fitting had perished, and my attempted insertion of a bulb resulted in a crumbled socket, and the need for the services of an electrician.
I’ve got motivation in abundance so i’m going to make sure it goes to good use.
Even though the Christmas break has flown by, i’ve made sure that i’ve relaxed across it. It’s been a much needed break and even though i’m back fully on Friday, i’m not anticipating much work until next week.
My sons coming home from hospital after his spider bite
Found a solution to old man dogs dementia night time wandering with a lightly weighted blanket, he’s been sleeping so well he even wanted to play ball yesterday!
Edit – What about you u/a-liquid-sky? I don’t see anything from you here (or I need my mole glasses)
This year’s been a cracker for me – I travelled to my 6th and 7th continents! I doubt we’ll be able to squeeze in 4 holidays again next year (I don’t have the annual leave allowance, for one thing).
Ending the year on a bum note though as I’m horribly snotty and congested so we’re probably going to have to cancel our plans with friends.
i got diagnosed with adhd and started medication for it and i also saw my favourite musician. small win is that i have gotten way more decorations for my flat that fit my hobbies and make it feel more like home
professionally: got a biiiig permanent promotion and feel like i have genuinely done things that will improve stuff long term.
personally: lost 2 stone, went to japan for a month and now we’re nearly 7 weeks pregnant with our first baby.
it’s been a mammoth year!
I’ve had a feature on a cool street photography Instagram, finally sorted my personal website out and sold my first print to someone from Reddit!
Which has given me the confidence to share my work more next year and inspired me to book a local exhibition for myself!
Go back to bed guys, it’s still early
