V-Green and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) have entered into a strategic partnership to establish electric vehicle charging stations at HPCL’s fuel outlets across various markets in India.

The collaboration seeks to support the growth of electric mobility by expanding the charging network and enhancing accessibility for EV owners throughout the country.

As part of the agreement, V-Green will utilise HPCL’s widespread retail network to install EV charging facilities. HPCL, a major state-owned energy firm, manages over 24,400 retail outlets nationwide and currently operates more than 5,300 EV charging points under its HP e-Charge initiative, offering a solid base for further development.

The combination of HPCL’s extensive coverage and V-Green’s experience in developing large-scale charging infrastructure is claimed to facilitate quicker rollout of stations and convenient availability in cities as well as along highways.

V-Green Global Charging Station Development Company, based in Vietnam, was established by VinFast founder Pham Nhat Vuong with an emphasis on creating charging networks to aid VinFast’s expansion worldwide.

The arrangement with HPCL forms part of wider initiatives involving V-Green, VinFast, and associated entities to develop a comprehensive EV ecosystem in India. This encompasses manufacturing of vehicles, charging facilities, after-sales support, and battery recycling efforts.

VinFast entered India in September 2025 with two electric SUVs: VF 6 and VF 7. The Vietnamese company is planning to rapidly expand in the country, and is rumoured to launch the VF 3 micro-EV and Limo Green MPV in 2026.
