Just out of curiosity why did trump claim he vetoed it?
This is literally the pettiest president we’ve ever had.
It’s another reminder of how much our entire political system was held up mostly by customs and norms, not rules and laws. Trump is just breaking every single norm because there’s technically no law against it.
And his base simply doesn’t have a problem with it.
I just can’t imagine prior Presidents being so blatant with denying services or funds purely on ego, who supported him, who opposed him.
Like, they would sometimes… But they found other ways to at least make it look like that wasn’t it. Nixon was notorious for this, but he at least *tried* to make it look legit. Trump is just straight up “You don’t support me, fuck your state/district.”
It’s so weird to see it being used so openly.
I’ve met her in person and believe it or not she used kept her crazy under control-ish. Food in her cafe wasn’t fantastic but all the waitresses were rocking revolvers on their hips
Boebert isn’t known for letting go of pipes. She might need to stroke some egos, but she’ll fight hard to avoid getting shafted.
