Hi. I know that this sign means unlimited speed limit but what if there is a 120 in it? Does that mean that only 120 ends and there is a 130 limit or its unlimited? Thanks

  1. It does not mean “unlimited speed”. It means that former limitations are lifted.

If there is a 120 in it, only that limitation is lifted. For instance, if there was previously a limitation to 120 and a ban on overtaking, you are still not allowed to overtake.

Or if you see the sign without numbers on a road where the top speed is 100 by default, it means that any previous lower limit is lifted, but you can still only drive 100.

Even on an unlimited stretch of the Autobahn, you would still be required to keep an appropriate speed for the conditions.

    (edited for clarity)

  2. The one with a 120 in it means that 120 started somewhere before and ends right there. Anything else like a prohibition on overtaking others will still be active.

The one you posted means that any max speed that started before is now over and any prohibition on overtaking others has ended as well.
