This parable became hot after the 07 housing crisis and following bank bailout. And here we are cutting healthcare insurance subsidies in order to give the biggest tax break to the wealthiest people. If we expect the government to pay inspectors to verify that money was going where it was supposed to go, then we might expect the government to hire people to do crazy things like audit millionaires and billionaires. It’s a slippery slope people!

Easy solution, give parents money to get childcare or to take time off to take care of them theirselves. Or expand k-12 public schools to have early development.
How many times do we need to see the government give money to private profit driven companies and watch it floop before we realize going money to consumers or making government companies is a thousand times better…. Grumpy grumpy rant rant.
