I don’t understand how it’s culturally acceptable to shoot up a school, but they won’t consume beer on a street outside a bar in the sunshine.
🇬🇧 could just send the women and still win 🏆
I’m American but now call the UK home and I approve this message.
The only odd thing about it is given the British constitution for alcohol and drinking, it blows my mind how uptight you lot are about cannabis compared to america. Even my little old gran likes a joint every now and then but she doesnt drink.
If there is a fresh Apple Juice challenge, ill win that for the UK
Yanks would win a fent challenge easily though
Britannia rule the beer waves.
I confidently believe I have seen this post 330 million times
I concur but my view of alcoholism is likely skewed by a lifelong career in hospitality.
On a decent night out if it’s an all day sesh I’ll polish off 8-10 bottles of wine… Know many fellow chefs who can keep pace with this disgusting feat of alcohol tolerance… Know zero yanks who can come close… At uni I lived in a big shared flat of 12 with 4 being American (Texas, Portland, Cali & Wyoming) and they were piss poor drinkers. It was a regular occurrence having to heard them back from the student union round the corner and put them to bed before we hit dinnertime, the rest of us Scots stayed out for a further 10-12 hours then came home to play kings. That may be down to their age and legal boozing status in the states whilst we were all raised on white lightening and glens vodka in the local park from 12+ .
It’s a striking contrast. The difference comes down to cultural history and what each society sees as freedom versus disorder.
* In the us gun ownership is tied to identity, Politics and constitutional rights, which makes restrictions difficult.
* Public drinking, on the other hand is often viewed as disruptive or unsafe, So laws clamp down on it.
* In the uk and much of Europe, the reverse feels true strict gun laws mean shootings are rare, but enjoying a pint outdoors is socially acceptable (though still regulated in certain areas.
There’s no contest. And it’s not even about handling the alcohol, it’s also the volume of fluid. Brits all have hollow legs. I remember one cold night in London pub crawling with my British colleagues. After 7-8 pints, I was full. I could feel the beer slouching in my stomach.
Count me out of this round ta!
So 67.999.999 would be enough, include the infants obviously, start them as soon as, traditions!
It depends on what the drink is, if its American there is no chance – who wants to drink that piss
I agree but I reckon the southern states would give it a good go. I bet the dodgy moonshine must be some proof
The only speed bump will be Wisconsin
I think this comes down to having an NHS.
One of our last sources of national pride is the effect of generations of alcoholism. Fkn tragic lmao.
another karma farming post, posting old memes
Scotland could do it ourselves. A wee bit Peru Stoor and the east coast alone would manage.
The Irish and Scots alone could do that.
Cos they drink Coors piss…
68 million? There’s like 80 million people
Without a doubt
are we including or excluding Wisconsin in this? But as someone who has gotten to know and eventually include individuals from that state a part of my family they’re hardly slouches in this matter either, they consume 11.5 litres of Ethanol to our 10.7ltrs per capita per year. the people there are descended from German, Irish, and Polish settlers, so don’t count on a local culture that abstains from alcohol
I 100% agree. Worked some summers over there and they could not keep up with us, Brits & Australians. Very messy lol. I always say they are more “showy” drinkers whereas we just get down to business/guzzling.
If I lived in England I’d get blackout drunk every day too so I can’t really blame them
