God, Liz Truss will do whatever she can to seem like a ball breaking negotiator when in truth, she clearly has no idea what she is doing.
It’s pretty clear she has aspirations to be PM, but keeps proving how completely out of her depth she is. Fucking useless honestly. A trade war is not really what the UK needs right now.
“Furious EU..” , “EU lashes out…” ,
The framing really is something. Every time..
Also “Michael Ellis, Minister for the Cabinet Office, says gov ‘deeply disappointed’ about EU delay over UK participation in Horizon 2020. ‘This is purely political.’ ”
Yeah.. Something even the Europhopes of the highest order are keen on getting access to inspite of everything, is now being withheld so long as the UK continues to posture confrontationally and puts on a show of wanting to walk away from it’s commitments (this time it’s totally for real @ERG).
Everything the UK does is political, especially vis-a-vis Europe, reminds me of that time David Davis went to Berlin and made a speech about how Europeans shouldn’t put politics above posterity in an unbelievable display of tone death arrogance (or idiocy).
