
Riyadh, December 30, 2025, SPA — Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to the Kingdom Oskar Wüstinger and Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to the Kingdom Yasmine Chatila Zwahlen visited the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2025 on Tuesday. The event is organized by the Saudi Falcons Club at its Malham headquarters, north of Riyadh, and runs until January 10, 2026.
The two ambassadors were received by Vice President of the Saudi Falcons Club Ahmed Al-Hababi.
The ambassadors and their accompanying delegation followed part of the local amateur rounds, which were held with the participation of 219 falcons as part of the festival’s Melwah competition. During their tour, they were introduced to the working mechanisms of the various committees, as well as the latest technologies and equipment used in managing, organizing, and conducting the Melwah rounds.
They also listened to a detailed briefing on participation procedures in the festival, the preparation of qualifiers for the King Abdulaziz Cups, and the mechanism of the Mazayen competition, in addition to the planned distribution of competition prizes totaling more than SAR38 million.
Additionally, the two ambassadors expressed their appreciation to the Saudi Falcons Club for the warm reception and voiced their satisfaction with the level of organization and the efforts made to preserve the falconry heritage.
