India and Pakistan on Thursday exchanged their annual list of nuclear installations and facilities, marking the 35th consecutive year of compliance with the Agreement on the Prohibition of Attack against Nuclear Installations and Facilities, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said. The exchange was conducted simultaneously in New Delhi and Islamabad through diplomatic channels, as mandated by the bilateral pact to ensure the protection of nuclear infrastructure. Since the first exchange on January 1, 1992, both countries have maintained this practice without interruption, even during periods of heightened political or military tension, underscoring a long-standing commitment to nuclear safety, transparency, and stability in the region.
