President Volodymyr Zelensky reported to the President of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides new details of Ukraine’s contacts with American partners and the overall diplomatic situation. He stressed that work toward achieving peace is ongoing practically around the clock, with no breaks.
The head of state shared this in a post on Facebook.
Ukraine’s position during Cyprus’s presidency and international coordination
Zelensky congratulated Nikos Christodoulides on the start of Cyprus’s presidency of the Council of the European Union and expressed hope for strong decisions that will strengthen the security of Ukraine and the entire continent.
“It is important that Ukraine remains among the top priorities during Cyprus’s presidency. Ukraine’s membership in the European Union is one of the guarantees of our security, and we, on our part, will always do everything necessary”

In the conversation, the president expressed gratitude to Cyprus for the support and personally to Christodoulides for his warm words addressed to Ukrainians and Ukraine.
It is also known that from January 1, Cyprus officially assumed the Council of the European Union’s presidency for a six-month period.
Additionally, it was noted that on December 28, at the Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida, a meeting of the presidents of Ukraine and the United States took place. Zelensky highlighted the significant achievements resulting from this meeting.
