Back in December, the Maltese broadcaster revealed the 18 artists competing in MESC 2026. Now, the songs have officially been released:
MESC 2026 will feature two live shows:
Semi-final: 15 January 2026Final: 17 January 2026
Both shows will be held in Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre, Ta’ Qali and hosted by Destiny Chukunyere, Gaia Cauchi and Keane Cutajar. All 18 acts will compete in the Semi-final scheduled for 15 January, but only 12 acts will qualify for the Final of MESC. The Final takes place just two days later, on 17 January 2026.

Malta debuted in Eurovision back in 1971, and has participated in the contest 37 times since then – without any victories.
Their best results are two runners-up finishes in 2002 (Ira Losco – “7th Wonder“) and 2005 (Chiara – “Angel“). They came last in 1971, 1972 and 2006 and in their Semi-finals in 2023 and 2024.
