Luxembourg’s first birth of 2026 occurred shortly after midnight, as baby Santiago was born at 12.25am.
Just 25 minutes into the new year had passed before the first baby was born at the Bohler clinic in Kirchberg.
Baby Santiago was born weighing 2.38kg at 12.25am on 1 January, the first 2026 birth in Luxembourg. Both the infant and his parents are said to be doing well.
