I love them both except for Kate’s neckline! It reminds me of Elvis.
I don’t know about the dress but I know which groom I’d choose.
I do not understand why we need to judge and be critical re what two women decided to wear on their wedding day. It’s 2025, not 1525, ffs.

Love them both.
Catherine’s neckline flatters her small bust. But I prefer the look of more skin to contrast with the rest of the fabric.
They are both really old fashioned and bland but I like Sofia’s better
Kate’s brought back sleeves to wedding trends in a big way which was exciting. I know it seems almost outdated now but it was crazy to see all the lace and long sleeves in wedding dresses the next year
Sofia’s is much more my style, but they’re both lovely
Both were beautiful brides but Kate’s wins hands down. I don’t like the brightness of Sofia’s or the lace veil covering the train.
Kate’s dress is perfect. It fit her like a glove and was so simple yet so stunning. And was such a MOMENT – it broke the chokehold of strapless dresses that had been a dominant trend for a decade plus. (I remember it well because I was getting married around that time, having a hard time finding cute sleeved dresses, and after their wedding finally saw multiple sleeved dress designs become a thing again.)
However, Sofia and Carl Philip are such an attractive couple that they trigger my bisexuality in a big way. Probably the hottest royal couple in my book.
I like Kate’s dress and Sophia’s veil. Kate dress looks obviously custom-made with exquisite tailoring. They both look beautiful and I find Sofia adorable, but her dress looks like it could be found off the rack. Her veil, though, was beautifully crafted.
I think Catherine’s dress with Sofia’s veil. Sofia’s dress is underwhelming.
Kate’s looked better in motion. I was at work at the time and saw the still photos a few hours before I got the chance to see a video clip, and I was underwhelmed at first.
I’m glad Sofia reworked her wedding tiara (and added other jewel topper options). It looked a bit odd just plunked down on her head. She opened it up and it looks way better now.
I prefer Catherine’s gown, apart from the aggressive bust darts, and Sofia’s tiara, flowers and arm candy.
Kate’s dress is superior, as it should be as a future Queen of England. The material looks heavy and substantial and so well crafted, and the symbolic touches throughout it and the veil all leant to the major event the wedding was. Sofia’s dress does indeed look like something I could find at any bridal shop.
Catherine’s
Kate’s gown, Sofia’a groom.
Love them both so can’t choose
Cathirine’s-the fabric and detailing look more elegant, especially the train. Prince William has gotten more handsome as he ages.
As a swede, Sofia’s dress has absolutely nothing on Catherine’s.
I love both but Kate wins this round. The skirt seems fuller and I like that a lot.
Kate’s wedding dress was absolutely stunning and is easily my favorite royal wedding dress of all time. The dress was tailored to perfection and fit Kate like a glove. The bodice and lace are gorgeous. 10/10.
I prefer Princess Sofia’s dress
Kates dress wins. There is no competition in the slightest
The tailoring on Kate’s is perfection and an example of British tailoring from the house of McQueen. if you can catch footage of her from the side, look at how the pleats fan out as Kate walks, they not only added a bit of dimension to her hips as she is very slim there and it is so cunning how those pleats unfurl in movement- like petals almost.
it looks like a generic wedding gown if it’s time, as does sofias. but the tailoring and design around the hips tips Kate’s dress into designer craftsmanship territory.
Sofia’s dress looks off the rack at a mall store. It’s beautiful, but there’s nothing special about it.
Sofia looks so genuinely happy, how can we not adore her. Her flowers are really nice too.
Sofia looked lovely, but Catherine’s dress was stunning.
No fan of Kate’s, & I think her personal style is dowdy & unfashionable (& unfortunately dresses her kids the same way)- but her wedding gown was one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. It was gorgeous & she looked stunning.
Both are stunning women who looked gorgeous on their wedding day. There are no losers
That said I slightly prefer Kate’s because I prefer the deeper V neckline versus Sophia’s scoop neck
Both are amazing but I’d choose Sofia’s for myself
I adore Princess Sofia but Catherine’s dress definitely has better structure and a more elegant silhouette
Sofia’s dress wouldn’t exist without Kate’s
Kate’s dress, Sofia’s hairstyle. Also, the attendant holding Sofia’s train wasn’t wearing a white bodycon dress as Kate’s sister was. That was strange.
