Some kind of remote call centre work could be good for her?
So she didn’t miss any payments and they’ve reinstated her benefits and apologized for the error.
I mean it’s a ball ache for her to go through but no one’s kicked her out on the street
Worry bout the immigrants and worry about the druggies, but not the Eton graduate that’s taking all your money.
1000ÂŁ in UC and 900ÂŁ in PIP.. a lot of people don’t even make that in a month.
£1900 a month. With rent being £700, tell me again how someone can’t survive on that?
I’m sure if her benefits are frozen she will need to become unbed bound. Have an auntie like this also away 2-3 holidays a year own static caravan it’s disgusting
It’s possible to WFH now but almost every company has returned mostly to WFP and as little WFH as possible. If the govt want more people to be able to work they need to make the barrier of entry easier and also ensure that people like her are protected more. I am constantly in battles with my employer over this and see it being only a matter of time before they find a way to kick me out due to my disabilities. The govt need to help assist these people in finding roles they can do and ensure they are protected more. Saying you can get a “WFH Job” is easier said than done and there’s no guarantee it will stay like that. A lot of companies change the rules so much it’s impossible for someone with specific needs to change to meet those rules and it can cause a lot of stress for them aswell as affect their health more. Having a clearly defined “protected WFH status” set up in employment law would assist greatly in ensuring that when companies and orgs decide to implement changes they have to ensure those “protected status” employees are included in the new design (which they rarely if ever are currently).
If you want to get more disabled people back into work you have to reduce the barrier for entry and ensure that their disability requirements are met.

AI is going to take all the jobs, so DWP will be telling everyone to ‘get a job’ soon.
Could she not hold doors open at the house of commons, so our lords and masters can get to there important jobs quicker, there must be a need for some one on the doors at the subsidised bars and restaurants,
Come via calais you’ll be set for life.

It’s like my gp. She told me to (literally) man up and take in my pains. turns out it was a tumor that needed to be removed.Â
the people demonising this woman in the comments makes me understand how stupid we are as an electorate.
She should be getting ESA too if she can’t work. What she’s getting in UC isn’t enough.
She can’t walk. That doesn’t mean she can’t use a wheelchair. The test for benefits considers that.
Just a PSA:
Almost every single one of these outlandish stories about the DWP persecuting the most vulnerable claimants like this is **true**
You can literally work from home for most telephone companies customer service roles.
Modern society is quite something.
The people outraged in the comments saying “just work” to a legitimate disabled person.. but not a peep of rage when it comes to pissing away BILLIONS in tax payers money on stuff like HS2, Covid schemes, repeatedly subsidising million pound businesses oh and the usual MPs bonuses.
What a world eh.
She doesn’t get ÂŁ900 PIP . The maximum amount is ÂŁ750 every 4 weeks if she gets daily living and mobility.
She needs to immediately claim Universal Credit and she’ll have money.
Just a reminder to everyone that illness and disability can affect you and your loved ones at any point, without rhyme or reason.
Yes there can be people who abuse the systems, but the vast majority are people who desperately need assistance and are extremely vulnerable. Financial instability can massively exacerbate illnesses.
Please remember to be kind. We are all people.
