EmergencyWA has downgraded an emergency-level bushfire warning to watch and act for residents in the area of Boya, Darlington, Greenmount and Helena Valley, about 35 kilometres east of Perth.

People in an area south of Padbury Road, bounded by Coulston Road, Approach Road, Clayton Road, Victor Road, Beenong Road, Darlington Road and Dalry Road, are asked to stay alert and monitor their surroundings as conditions could change, according to EmergencyWA.

A Bushfire Advice warning has also been issued for people in an area bounded by Helena Valley Road, Scott Street, Great Eastern Highway, Lionel Road and Glen Road in Mundaring. 

The authority said the bushfire was moving in a north-easterly direction but was currently stationary.

However, the bushfire was not contained or controlled, it said.

Emergency services have urged residents to leave immediately if safe to do so. (ABC News)
