  1. Good for him – da iawn. The Welsh Language Act 1993 established that ‘in the course of public business and the administration of justice, so far as is reasonably practicable, the Welsh and English languages are to be treated on the basis of equality.

  2. You’d think people operating stuff in Wales would know by now that they have to do things in both languages. Obviously not.

  3. This is incorrect

Iit was thrown out as the private parking company didn’t send anyone to court so the penalty charge was automatically thrown out.

Had they sent a representative it may well have still be thrown out but not for language reasons

  4. oh naff off!

This idiot claims he cant be fines, because the letter was written in a language spoken in every country on earth.

If so, then he should be banned from driving as most laws, car manuals, insurance companies, and everything else ar written in english too. This is the problem when small minded itiots take over. They make all these stupid decisions to be as obnoxious and as insular as possible. This guy should have his license revoked.

  5. This is quality shithousing. Got a lot of respect for this.

The UK has several indigenous languages, and we need to accept this. If someone wants to correspond in one of them, then it should be accommodated for.
