The Australian women’s national under-18 team have defeated the Asociace ženského ledního hokeje’s (AŽLH) under-18 team 5–3 in their first exhibition game at Zimní stadion in Český Těšín, Czechia. Australia’s most valuable player of the match was awarded to Hannah Cryan and Johanna Meissner was named the hardest worker. The match was held as part of the team’s training camp before the 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women’s World Championship Division I Group B tournament which starts on 5 January in Katowice, Poland. The two team’s will face off again for a second game on 2 January.
