As part of the collaboration, Rinnai will donate 48 Rinnai Electric Heat Pump (REHP) Water Heaters to support nine Habitat projects throughout 2025 and 2026.
Rinnai America Corporation announces a new partnership with Habitat for Humanity Canada to help address the growing need for affordable, sustainable housing.
The donated REHP units will be shipped from Rinnai’s new Ontario distribution center and installed in duplexes, townhomes, and multifamily projects across Canada, providing homeowners with reliable, high-efficiency hot water while supporting Canada’s broader electrification and carbon-reduction goals.
The collaboration is uniquely designed to meet the needs of local families and communities. Rinnai’s donation will help offset construction costs for local Habitats and ensure every participating home benefits from dependable, long-lasting hot-water performance, stated Rinnai.
“We’re proud to support Habitat for Humanity construction teams with an easy-to-install, zero-emissions water heater that brings homeowners lasting peace of mind,” said Daniel Zrubak, general manager, Rinnai Canada.
Boasting a 4.0 Uniform Energy Factor (UEF) and to meet the highest standards of efficiency and
performance, REHP uses advanced heat-pump technology to deliver reliable hot water while reducing energy use by up to 60 percent compared to conventional electric models. Its compact, zero-clearance design also installs easily in tight spaces, ideal for multi-unit and affordable-housing developments.
Rinnai and Habitat for Humanity Canada are also exploring opportunities to expand the partnership, furthering the shared goal of increasing access to energy-efficient housing solutions across the country.
