The call for proposals aims to unlock investments in the development of the European hydrogen value chain, including building hydrogen production capacities and hydrogen transport infrastructure and supporting the use of hydrogen in industry and transport.

The Slovenian CfP will contribute directly to the decarbonisation of the Slovenian economy and the achievement of the European Green Deal goals. The projects are part of the Hy2Tech and Hy2Use IPCEI’s, which focus on hydrogen technology and infrastructure and support integrating hydrogen into industrial processes. A total of 20 million euros is available under the CfP.

The investment will support the development of advanced technologies such as large-scale electrolysers and energy storage solutions, which will help reduce the country’s dependence on fossil fuels. This means a cleaner environment with fewer harmful gas emissions for the citizens and long-term energy independence for the country.

The call for proposals will be implemented by the Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sport, with the period of eligibility of expenditure running till 31 October 2029.
