De reden waarom mensen overschakelden van kabel naar digitaal was het doorspoelen van de reclame, het makkelijke opnemen en de beeldkwaliteit.
Als je 1 derde daarvan weghaalt heeft het nog weinig nut. Met ook de duizenden vtmen en plays zie ik het bos niet meer door de bomen wat wat is. Ik zap dus nog zelden.
Streaming all the way. Netflix voorlopig nog, maar sites zoals hurawatch en dergelijke blijven de toekomst als alles verspreidt wordt over meerdere streamingdiensten.

Either you charge people a subscription fee OR you show ads. Doing both is just criminal. I hope they lose a lot of subscribers.

I switched to internet only and TVVlaanderen a while back.
iedereen die zegt dat ze nu voor streamen kiezen: dat is net de bedoeling, ze proberen het streamen aantrekkelijker te maken omdat ze daarmee veel meer verdienen per klant. die reclame is gewoon een kleine bijverdienste. desalniettemin vind ik het echt kut.

I have a question for the streamers who have completely abandoned cable TV. I fully understand the reasoning, but I have a practical problem rather. I don’t like to watch fiction unless it’s a 20 minute sitcom or the occasional movie. When I watch TV, it’s mainly sports, documentaries and current affairs. I don’t seem to be able to find that online (centralized). I think the comfort and offer of cable TV is the best for me for the time being, although I am also angry about the obligatory advertising (I also have Telenet) and high prices.
Anyone some tips?
They were pushing me to take their new tv box with cloud instead of the recorder with harddrive that I have now. Does this mean i can still fast forward the adds?

What about an online campaign + changing your own habits?
Sign, share, promote an online campaign that says *”we refuse to purchase products that have destroyed / held hostage my free time!”*… Write negative reviews like *”used to be an okay product but gotten worse in the last years, also, the company has a negative impact on my free time, 1/5 no longer recommend!”*
Do you think it could work if enough people signed & acted on it?
But that means no longer buying any brand for which you have seen commercials.

Tijd om een VHS recorder to gaan kopen in de kringwinkel en zo terug tv programma’s opnemen. Can’t block doorspoelen on analog gear!
