Back Nine Golfcoming to Hills

An indoor golf simulator called “Back Nine Golf” will be opening in the Chino Hills Marketplace at 4200 Chino Hills Parkway. The applicant, John Chu, needs a minor use permit to operate the 2,283-square-foot business in the former location of Wilding Wallbeds.

Community development director Nick Liguori will preside over an administrative hearing to consider the application at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13 at the rear of Chino Hills City Council chambers, 14000 City Center Drive.

Chino CommercialBank mixer Jan. 22

What has been dubbed one of the most popular Chamber networking events of the year, the Chino Commercial Bank will hold its 23rd annual business mixer from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22 at 14245 Pipeline Ave. in Chino. The gathering, which is free to attend, will include food samples from local restaurants, beer and wine service, a chance to win a television, and prizes. Businesses are encouraged to bring an opportunity drawing prize to be recognized during the event.

“The mixer consistently draws a strong crowd and offers a valuable space to build relationships, showcase your business, and engage with our local business community,” according to the Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce.

The San Bernardino County Workforce Development Board will host a hiring event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16 at the Chino Hills Community Center, 14250 Peyton Drive.
