I want CCTV cameras in every politicians houses considering how many of them are nonces
To pick up from the end of the article, Europe might not be China or Russia but it sure as hell has just as many people drawn to positions of power in it with the same sociopath authoritarian tendencies as in those nations.
(And I don’t just mean the EU).
One has to wonder how many Orban-envying types who merely give lip-service to Democracy (because harping all about it is good for their careers) whilst not having any such principles are there at the highest levels of power in Europe, especially in the least democratic positions in it (i.e. places such as the EU Comission) were power can be gotten much more easilly through wheeling-and-dealing and using manipulation techniques on a small number of people rather than having to convince an electorate.
WOW! What a surprise!
This is a very important thread. Read the article, be informed.
The real goal is likely to get rid of encryption. Article 16 breaks TLS as all URLs must be compared to a list of blocked ones. This result is that all users of an ISP ordered to do this will lose security and privacy. This means, for those who are unsure, that the ISP (and, by extension, several other entities) will be able see everything you do on the internet.
I am ***begging*** for the parliament to be given more power.
Please, *PLEASE just let the parliament have more power already*
