PiS feeds on nationalism, hateful rhetoric towards whoever they perceive as “the enemy” and siege narratives (“Poland vs everyone, they want to alter our culture and traditions, Germany is the enemy, Russia is the enemy, Immigrants are the enemy, LGBT people are the enemy, Jewish are the enemy, it’s us versus the world”).
That guy who burned Statut Kaliski is Wojciech Olszański. He is considered troll and youtuber-patostreamer, who openly supports Russia, is anti vaxxer, anti LGBT, chemtrails believer, basically supports every conspiracy theory. He cooperates with other guy who few years ago has burned puppet of Jew on some other march. Olszański did this not during main march in Warsaw but in other small city. Whole action is clearly staged to shed some negative light on Poland during current stuggle with Russia and Belarus. Normally you barely have any media on such occasions in smaller cities, usually some journalist who works for local newspaper. And this action made it to world news within the hours.
I imagine that Polish nationalists have other priority right now but shouting death to Russia wouldn’t cause such wide outrage. We even don’t have any conflict with Israel. Completely doesn’t make sense. Remember that Russian strategy of hybrid war contains pressure like migtation and also information war.
